This book is based on a two volumen book by W. Krysicki and L. Wlodarski published in Warsaw in 1952 under the title Analiza matematyczna w Zadaniach. It has been our aim to adapt the work so that it is suitable for sixth form students, particularly scholarship students, and for those first year university students (not necessarily mathematical specialists) who need a systematicac course of revision in the methods of calculus.
To this end a considerable amount has been omitted from the original (notably a full treatment of differential equations), and various sections have been added to or completely rewritten.
